Since updating to the most current Public version, I’ve noticed that after new shows are added the detection runs as per normal, but I’m left with a player dashboard message “Detecting Intros: Some show S03”
I see nothing in the server dashboard or alerts, but checking my CPU usage, yeah it’s doing something.
Its running on unRaid in a docker from the plexinc repository. No other issues I can see.
I have the same issue on 1.41.1.9057. This was also present on the previous version but updating did not fix it.
The server gets stuck on Detecting Intros for the most recently added TV show. It pegs the CPU at about 20-30% non-stop while Plex is running. When the next show is added it seems to move on and get stuck on the most recently added one.
Running on Synology DSM 7
So I’ve updated a few times, and this still seems to be an issue.

Just spins and spins forever. I wouldn’t care, but it keeps drives spun up for no reason.
I have this too, it seems to just be really slow as many of my shows are on a slow disk.
I’d like to be able to schedule this task, as it takes up a lot of I/O and slows down my downloads, etc
^^ Turns out you can do this and I’m an idiot.
It does however take FOREVER.
