Server cannot log in to Plex Web

Server Version#:1.13.5.5332
Player Version#:none

I am trying to install Plex Server on a particular Win10 Pro 64 bit Ver. 1803, Build 17134,228.

The install appears to proceed normally, bur when finished I get an “Unclaimed Server” error and the server cannot log into the Plex Web. Each attempt to login displays a message that the log in was successful, but the “Unclaimed Server” error reappears with a prompt to log in. The Plex Web shows each login, but the server does is not able to see the login.
I have removed all antivirus software and I am running the Win10 built in antivirus. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the server multiple times with the same result each time, I can see nothing in the logs, but do not know what I am lookin for.

I have installed the server on another similar PC without issue, but need for the server to run on this particular PC.

The how to articles are no help as I have tried all the suggestions with no improvement.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is there any way to actually talk(or chat) with someone fro Plex?

Thanks in advance

Same problem. Windows 10 1803. Have used Plex for awhile. Wanted to use Roku app. No server there.

Downloaded the latest Plex Server App. Doesn’t open a configuration screen, but only says installation is complete.

Plex Web App opens and recognizes my account and connected devices, but constantly “Looking for servers…”

Settings does not show a Server tab.

Followed directions at https://support.plex.tv/articles/204604227-why-can-t-the-plex-app-find-or-connect-to-my-plex-media-server/, with no success.

Restarted router.

Can anyone help?

Then try this next: https://support.plex.tv/articles/204281528-why-am-i-locked-out-of-server-settings-and-how-do-i-get-in/

First, thank you(all) who have replied or commented. I truly appreciate the replies.

I looked at the link you sent me Otto Kerner(I hope that is the correct name, please forgive if not!), and then followed the Windows directions. However, the registry entries mentioned in the article were not the same as the entries in my registry, in fact not even close. I am running Win10 1803. I backed up my registry and exited without making any changes. I do not know if this a windows version problem or something else.

At the end of the article there was as suggestion to log into the Plex Server locally. Following these directions I got the same unclaimed server error, but then about a minute later, the server popped up and all seems to be well. I am new to Plex so I am not sure what my present status is but I think everything is working except the remote access, which I do not wish to use anyway. I will do some testing to see where I am.

Perhaps there is an updated article on this problem. I wish I knew what occurred to apparently fix my server but I am completely in the dark. If I learn anything else I will post here and hope you will do the same.

Thanks again for the response.

Thanks, Otto. This worked for me. Allowed discovery of the Server.
