Server currently unavailable

Player Version#: latest Chrome browser

Running both server and browser local on mac mini. Had been working fine for years. Then, like an idiot I logged out of my iCloud acct. on this mini specifically created for this. I read the plex support article titled, " Why am I locked out of Server Settings and how do I get in?". Followed all the directions but still-- my browser (and apps on other devices such as Roku) will not see my media on the mac mini.

I have re-restored the previous iCloud user, returned the prior plist file but still no access to media/server. There is an exclamation point ! next to each of the media icons with a message “My Media Server is currently unavailable”.

Things I’ve done:
–Signed in and out of plexweb
–restarted the mac mini
–deleted plex server sofware, installed new.
–Physically SEE the media files on the mac mini external drive as it always has been.

Please please help.

Macs have a permissions setting that needs enabled to let the app see removable media.

Wow. Cool, do know where this is?

How do i get plex to request permissions? FILES and FOLDERS is not appearing the Privacy list on the mac. I’ve read that the application needs to request permission and Plex isn’t doing that. Any ideas?

Thanks. Files and folders does not appear in my list. I learned it will not appear until an application needs it. Upon further trouble shooting, I did solve the problem by removing each of my libraries (under manage libraries) and then adding each again. Thanks for the help.
