Server going down very often

Hi. I would like to know why my server is going down and i need to start manually on settings again very often. I am using the server in a NVIDIA. So, it is a big problem because i spend a lot of days out my home and if the server is going down i can´t use plex. It is not problem of the electricity, internet, etc. It is related to plex. If you dont fix I am gonna unsuscribe of plex pass for sure

You are not alone. I find Plex goes to sleep and the only way to wake it up is directly on the Shield. It makes it really frustrating to use and completely useless unless you are at home to reset it.

It is true. If it is not solved it is gonna be my last paid month. It is not useful pay for something not useful

Just FYI, mine never goes down. Whenever I try to access it remotely from work or from my home computer I have always had access to the Shield Plex Media Server. I have only had my Shield TV for a couple of months and primarily use it as a backup Plex Media Server to record a second copy of critical recordings that my wife would not be happy to miss and to use it as a client device for media viewing, so am not an expert at it by any means.

Neither of you have provided much information about your configuration:
What is the Plex Media Server version you are running?
What version of the Shield OS are you running?
Are there any error messages in your Plex Media Server log files that would indicate why Plex is not responding?

If you are running the Plex Media Server version that was preinstalled by Nvidia you should immediately login to your Google Play Store account, find the Plex Media Server app and install it. The version that comes preinstalled by Nvidia is over one year old as of this month. The installer file I downloaded when I installed that version on my computer was dated 3/3/2017.

Sorry, but without specifics regarding your setup are people supposed to guess as to why your Plex Media Server is not accessible.

I don’t have any issues with this on my Nvidia Shield Pro.
But for the event if something actually does happen to my plex server I use uptimerobot.com to detech when/if it’s down----the only time that usually happens if I lost internet, power outage, or upgrade PMS. To make it easier, my router supports Dynamic DNS and use that URL for remote access and uptimerobot.
