Server is offline or unreachable

Server Version#: 1.13.5.5332
Player Version#: ?

I know this is something that’s been discussed a ton, but no matter what topic I went through on the forum, none had a solution for the problem I’m facing right now. I have tried everything (I think), except uninstalling and reinstalling Plex Server.

Last night I binged the new season of Bojack Horseman. Although I have an active Netflix subscription, I preferred to watch it via Plex. This morning, when I tried opening Plex again, the TV app said the server is offline, which is impossible, since I never turn off my PC.

I’ve already tried signing out from both devices then signing in back again, checked router confinguration, server network status, updated Plex app, all with the same result. My TV is an older Sony Bravia, where I use Plex via Opera, and the server is active on my PC. The server is reachable from the Android app, but it doesn’t play anything although I’m on the same network.

Good morning. What immediately comes to my thinking is firewall and/or anything that wants to get in the way of any network connection first. Good luck & lemme know.

Unfortunately, It’s not that. I just have Windows Defender active, but with all Plex services added as exceptions to the list.

So, the server works now. The only thing I messed with earlier is the DLNA settings. I turned the DLNA server on so that I can access the content without the need of the Plex app. Thought I’d try the app again, just out if curiosity and now it starts without any hickup.
Don’t know if it’s related, but maybe there’s somebody else out there who has the same issue as I did and can give this a try.
