Hello. Yesterday the server client was updated.
Since then, Plex on 2 TVs has not worked. It says that the xy server is unavailable, while it works on the phone, and of course the server is running. The only thing that helps is if I restart the provider modem. .. ? What does this have to do with the local network? After restarting it works for a while, then not again.. The server client has already been reinstalled, and the app on the LG TVs as well. I am at a loss..
I have triggered a new server certificate for you. Please stop and restart your server now.
It is a strong hint that the affected TV’s cannot contact your local server directly over the local network, but can do so if they use the remote connection’s address of your server. It may have to do with your router, and/or your local network’s layout. See Client says it won't play from "remote server", although the server is local
This means the server is asking your router automatically for a port-forwarding, after it is (re-)started. Such an automatically-established port forwarding is often removed (automatically) after a few hours. If you want remote access to be longer-lasting, you will have to create a port forwarding in your router’s settings by hand, and then tell Plex about it: https://support.plex.tv/articles/200289506-remote-access/
It works. Thank you very much! I’ll keep an eye on it. Although it worked without any problems until now, it’s been doing this since yesterday’s update. Thanks again.
