Server missing after 1.24.2 update on DSM 7

I haven’t done the obvious thing of rebooting the server. Doing that now.

Server (the NAS) rebooted.
Pollack Home still unavailable.

Diskstation popped up

  1. Sign out of Plex/web
  2. Open an incognito tab/window
  3. Open http://192.168.1.119:32400/web directly
  4. Sign in
  5. Inspect.
  6. “Got It” if it presents.
  7. If the startup wizard kicks in… don’t create new sections… skip until dashoard and FINISH.

Something happend to your old Friendly Name.

Not sure what is expected in steps 5-7. Inspect as in Chrome dev tools, or something else? There is no startup wizard. I still see the “DiskStation” as available, and “Pollack Home” as unavailable.

out of sequence on my part… auto numbering bit me.

  1. Sign in
  2. If you got “Got It” acknowledge
  3. If the setup wizard kicks in – skip through … changing any prefs along the way.
  4. DO NOT create new sections. they will be there.
  5. skip skip until FINISH
  6. Now inspect / look around and make sure everything is there.

damn browser is stuck. NOT the server.
Either that or Plex.tv is out of sync with what I see
