when you get there, with Plex installed,
cd CONTROL
ps -ef | grep -i plex
at this point you should see Plex processes running.
If not, then force the start and check again
./start-stop.sh start
check again
ps -ef | grep -i plex
Now you should see a few.
Opening the IP address of the NAS in your browser, does it load the Plex/Web interface or does it refused to connect?
On the NAS itself, I see this:
I see PMS, like you. Nothing has changed there

Ok,
Taking this back to fully uninitialized.
Make sure to remove the server name from Plex.tv -> Authorized Devices
Sign out
Now go into the shell
Get into the CONTROL directory
./start-stop.sh stop
Let it stop and check that with ps -ef | grep -i plex
Now start it manually with ./start-stop.sh start
Give it a few seconds then check ps -ef | grep -i plex (you should see them listed)
At this point, Plex is ready to connect to
Open the browser (which is signed out of your Plex account – important)
Open http://ip.addr.of.nas:32400/web .
Does it load the web client or refuse?
Confirm please 10.0.0.14 is the default address?

10.0.0.14 is the default, yes. Trying your steps now.
It connected. I did get the No Soup For you error again.
This was also on the log in screen

That is not “No Soup for you”. That’s the anti-phishing warning.
It’s ok to proceed through that.
It’s very literal. It’s telling you that there is a server. The server isn’t one of Plex’s. This one is yours. (recognize the IP ? )
They did this to help protect against spoofing / man-in-the-middle attacks .
the wording is really bad and they are working on that. Also, it should only show when going to a shared server.
So plow right through it.
Right, I know it isn’t the No Soup for you error. I did say also. The No Soup for you error came after I logged in after that. I did log in after I recognized my UP.

At this point,
you’ve logged in, and it thinks it’s claimed?
I am logged in yes, and if the No soup for you error means that it think it is claimed, then yes. It is not showing any servers and it still is not giving me the option to assign any libraries

what’s the IP address of your computer (the one the browser is on) ?

ok. let’s see if Preferences.xml has anything.
cd "/volume1/Plex/Library/Plex Media Server"
cat Preferences.xml
Do you see anything other than the UUIDs ?
If not, then it’s just not getting out to Plex.tv.
I need to see Logs/Plex Media Server.log. can you either make a tar.gz which gets all your logs into a share for easy access or is it just better to cat the log file (cat Logs/Plex\ Media\ Server.log) ?
If you cat the log file, please put in a txt file and attach that. it’s easier for me to read through.
Nothing other the the UUIDs in the xml file. Ple Media Sever.txt (409.3 KB)
