I am trying to get my personal media on plex but everytime I goto " Your Media " it keeps asking to download the media server again. please help
Sounds like you have not yet completed the setup of your server.
Until you linked the server to your Plex account, you’ll only be able to manage it (e.g. adding media) by opening the bundled web app (e.g. http://127.0.0.1:32400/web if you’re on the same device, http://[PMS IP address]:32400/web otherwise). After you completed the setup you’ll also be able to access the server through other clients or the hosted version of Plex Web (http://app.plex.tv/desktop).
Given you got yourself a Plex Pass you’ll want to link the server with your account in order to benefit from the Plex Pass features.
