Server not powerful enough to transcode bug

Hello,

On my server, transcoding is disabled. All the devices that we play the media on, support x265 and I never had problems with playback, let it be through the browser, windows app or android app.

Since two days I get the error ’ This server is not powerful enough to convert video’.
This error is not accurate since it suddenly appears with media that I succesfully played before. You can see in the screenshots below that the error only appears in browsers. I tried firefox, waterfox and chrome. All 3 give the same error. In the windows app the error can’t be reproduced:

I’ve also added the logs, one where I generated the error in chrome and after one without the error in windows.

Can you shed some light on why this is happening since it’s not related to the server or media, only the client thats used?

Are you sure this direct played before? You are trying a 10-bit hevc mkv file. AFAIK, Chrome only support 10-but hevc in mp4. As a test drop and drag the video into Chrome and see if the built-in video player will play the file. I can’t get it to work on my computer with mkv, but mp4 files will play in chrome and direct play through plex web.
