"Server not powerful enough" ???

Dear PLEX… i have a wish… please bring back flex to what it was 2 months ago…

jokes a part, I read a lot about this problem, and it looks as I am not the only one. My Plex worked perfectly before 2 upgrades . now suddenly my Server is not powerful enough. Movies I watched before without problems now can’t be watched?

I am not a tech and I do not really understand (transcoding / etc) … i tried to follow up some advices I found on google… but nothing worked.
the only thing that works is to convert the videos to a smaller format… but i found this ridiculous… it means I need to get back to my entire library (4Tb of videos and check every single one of them if it works or not?

I have a Synology 216j with 2x WD red HD and plenty of free space. All upgrades done (PLEX and DSM).

Plex is a great program, and I really hope you can fix this issue.

Thanks Trumpy. That’s a very exhausting answer. I will follow this up… Actually I already use Apple TV 4 and Ethernet connection… and by case settings were already like that… And I use the Smart Converter Pro on MAC (simple and quick)…

However i just want to underline the fact that previous PLEX versions worked perfectly (no bugs at all) and the latest one have issues… i simply find this a step back… maybe it’s because the DSM 6.1 or what ever else… now i need to spend hours converting videos… but it is as it is…

I have similar problems from the new Plex Media Server 1.4.3 version update ! … on many devices plex wont run - it starts the movie and then it exists … and that Server not powerful enough message …everything worked fine until the update !! what happened ?
