I am having trouble suddenly with my Plex server on a Synology NAS. I am running the latest (beta channel) .spk file on the NAS.
The issue is that Plex will not “recognize” certain media folders as having any content in them, despite the fact that the file browser on the NAS shows files present.
For example, my movie files are stored in /Volume1/Movies. If I browse to that location outside of Plex, I can see all the files are there. So I tried to delete that “share” from Plex (the reference to it) and then re-create it manually by pointing the Plex server to that folder when I am creating it inside of Plex. Plex fails to recognize the fact that there are media files present. I have tried restarting the NAS, etc. with no resolution.
I Have the exact same problem. I cant play any of my files, Plex says something to the effect of “be sure the file exists and that the drive is mounted”. I also tried removing the path (/Volume1/Video/Movies), but when i tried to add the path to the library, Plex doesn’t show any folders inside the Volume1/Video-folder, even though there should be four folders in there: Movies, Series, Downloads, and my Recycle folder
