Server runs but won't display

Server Version#: 1.28.0.5999-97678ded3 (latest for El Capitan)
Player Version#: 1.4.1

I’ve been running Plex server for years on my Mac Pro.

It’s still functional (I can access it from other devices, play the movies, set preferences), but I can’t access it from the Mac Pro itself.
Namely, if I open it, safari launches, opens a
http://127.0.0.1:32400/web/index.html#!/ page
and I get a start screen. and that’s all.
No access to my settings possible.
http://127.0.0.1:32400/web/index.html#!/settings/server/
gives same result.
Does not work from Firefox either
Can’t log in from Plex Home Cinema either.

Any idea ?

Update:
As I said the server runs but I can’t access it from the machine itself, meaning:

  • safari can’t display the setting page
  • the home theater app can’t login

However, I discovered I can access it from google chrome, from Firefox signing in through the Plex.tv site (though with a navigation bar missing) and from another computer, using Plex app.

I can’t log in with safari on Plex.tv either: I get a black sign in page, with no form.
