“Server settings are unavailable” on Plex server 1.22.1.4271

Chuck is on it - see Server settings are unavailable - ubuntu 20.04 - 1.22.1.4271 - #19 by IMDMonkey

AH - different post. Thanks for the redirect!

I’m on Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS as well and got the same issue. Rolled back to 1.22.2.4264 and all is well again

Could you share the .deb please - I removed all prev. versions… :(((

TO ALL

Re Synology:

  1. It is 100% safe to uninstall the Package Center app
  2. I do NOT delete the Plex share when uninstalling.
  3. When installing any version, I look for an existing “Plex” share and use it if it exists.

I will give the

“ALL CLEAR”

AFTER I have had a chance to test.

Engineering will let me run initial QA on it to see if everything works.

This would not be as big an issue if we had a way to download prior versions of the server package. I will now keep at least one version back for each time I upgrade. I had one from January I am now running but I imagine it is not wise to go that far back due to changes in the database. Allowing us to access ONE version back and keeping us informed if there is a database change that might cause issues would go a long way to avoiding a crunch like this…

I have kept each stable version of Plex since 1.15 (2019) TBH honest but I run QNAP.

Just a general good practice as it is effectively a backup strategy.

hey, just try specific version like this:
apt-get install plexmediaserver=1.22.1.4228-724c56e62

If you are running Ubuntu 64-bit

Well if someone knows the filename of the one for the Synology 64 bit Intel from yesterday, post it here and I will HAPPILY retrieve it…

I have the same issue “Server settings are unavailable.” on Debian 10 Linux.

I went back to PlexMediaServer-1.21.4.4079-1b7748a7b-x86_64, on QNAP 1282T3 - Server settings are available again.

J’ai aussi le même problème

For those using Synology DSM6 x86-64bit, here’s the last functional version 1.22.1.4228.

Edit: link removed since there’s an updated build with the fix.

Does anyone have the last functional version for QNAP 64 bit? I normally save them but cleared out my downloads folder the other day and emptied recycle bin. Wish Plex would provide like the last few versions so in cases like this is would be easy to download and install an older one.

TO ALL HERE:

A problem in the build system caused today’s train wreck.

We’ve got it back.
I’ve tested on Debian and it’s all working.

PMS 1.22.1.4275 is deploying to Public now.
PMS 1.22.2.4276 (if it passes testing) will deploy to Beta

debian 10 updated to 4275 and working again

Thank you.

I can confirm updating Synology DSM 6 to 1.22.1.4275 fixed the issue.

Thanks for the speedy fix.

Glad I could help.

It would be a rotten weekend without a Plex server :frowning:
