I keep having to sign in to my plex server all of a sudden it’s been rock solid for years and I haven’t changed anything i also have the lifetime pass.
Do you actually mean signing in the web app to your plex account?
Because signing in the server as such should be only necessary once.
Signing in the web app is usually messed up by the “privacy” features of various web browsers and anti virus software or “registry cleaners” etc.
Basically what you want to prevent is that the cookies from the domain plex.tv get deleted when the browser is closed.
Depending on which software is doing the deletion, you’ll have to find the settings menu of that software to define an exception rule for the cookies of plex.tv
No it’s the server on my Mac it’s normally logged in unless I reboot etc.
Does that mean you have to claim the server again after a restart?
Could you make a screenshot of the the location where you are logging in? (without showing your credentials, ofc)
Ok I’m at work but in my iPhone now I’m logged in and my movies and shows are appearing offline as if the server is at home all the other plex items are ok.
Please look at this again after you arrived at home. Just to make sure this is not actually a “remote access” issue.
Hi In setting at home should remote access be enabled or disabled I have three members of my family who has access to view my movies and shows
Sorry, this has nothing to do with settings.
Ok I’ll have a look when I’m at home unless my internet connection is faulty which will lose my nas drive public folder.
Umm it’s fine now at home my iPhone had the use cellular turned off.
I’ll keep my eye on it I have automatically sign in enabled on my Mac Tv.
If it works at home but not from out of your house, this points to a remote access issue.
I recommend bookmarking The Basics of Remote Access Troubleshooting and taking a look at your leisure.
