I’ve got a plex pass subscription and downloaded the 0.9.10.3 server version for Windows from the downloads section. Howerver my plex app on xbox one complains that it needs a never version than this. From all my searching I find no mention of the newer required 0.9.11.0 version ! O_o

I think I read somewhere try rebooting your xbox. Hold down the power for 10secs or something. Hope that helps

Or just closing out the plex app on the xbox hitting the three - button and going to quit works.

I did try the closing off the app and rebooting the xbox one. No difference. Strange though that it asks for a newer version of plex server than what is officially available.


To give some context: i purchased the plex pass annual today and downloaded the plex app fir xbox one. When It tried to connect it asked for version 0.9.10.3 which I downloaded from plex pass section and installed on my server. Then tried to connect with xbox again and it says that a newer is requred! 0.9.11.0

Ya not sure about that one...search these forums though, I'm sure you're not the only one, and a Plex NINJA has prob. answered that somewhere on here.

Strange this morning I switched on the Xbox One and Plex started up and connected with no issues! Thanks guys. Don't know why the first reboot didn't make a difference.

Your experience was pretty much exactly the same as mine.  Glad to open up my Xbox One this AM to find this issue resolved. 

So far off to a bit of a rocky start with Plex Server on my Win 7 HTPC with intentions to access it via Xbox 360, PS3, and an Xbox One.

I had problems with version 0.9.10.3, just restarted my Xbox One and it started working.

I've got 0.9.10.3 running on my Synology nas but xbox still says it needs version 0.9.10.3 and that my server is off-line. I've restarted my xbox several times. I've reinstalled the plex app. I've restarted the server.

Still no joy.

Most likely a NAT issue. Please describe your home network and all devices.
