Having issues with latest update on this server. Deleted older version. Now I can’t get it to work remotely, had to start all over rename and configure all my files. Am I the only one with this issue?

I’m confused how renaming your files should help if remote access was broken?!
The remote access is the real issue I am having. Can’t seem to get that working the way it should nor can see the option in the settings menu like before. Renaming and fixing all my files was another thing sorry. I basically had to start over from scratch which sucked but oh well. Is there a way to avoid that from happening again in the future?

Rule 1 for remote access: check if it really isn’t working or if you’re dealing with a stuck indicator.
The settings for remote access haven’t changed… it’s still in Settings > Remote Access. If remote access is indeed not working, there’s an extensive guide on how to troubleshoot potential issues.
Preferred mode should be to use a port forward which needs to be established in your router (vs. UPnP or NAT-PMP) – when you have that established on your router you can use services such as canyouseemee.org to confirm your router and the published port are accessible from the outside (ruling out it’s an issue with your router or ISP).
With regards to starting your server over… not sure what exactly happened to your server. I independently recommend to always follow Plex naming conventions and to be as precise as possible with both names as well as folder structures. This way… if bad comes to worse… a potential start from scratch is as easy as it can get and you don’t spend hours fixing not or wrongly matched content.
