I’ve been having problems with my Plex for about a month now. Whenever I add new files to my drive, plex does not add new music to my library. I use freenas and just updated FreeNas and Plex but the problem was not solved. I double checked the Jail mount points. I have been fiddling with it all week and don’t know what is wrong. Please offer any suggestions
I am also having this problem, I am using PMS on FreeNas. On top of that when I scan my library for media it finds the movie ok but the title of the movie is the original file name of the movie… ex.
Beethoven is BEETHOV And I have to manually fix that. (dont know if you are also having that problem and I dont want to hijack your thread)
These seem different problems, the first is likely due to permissions. The mount points might be there but that doesn’t mean the plex user running PMS does have access.
I suggest double checking the permissions on the ORIGINAL location. (i.e. if /data/media is mounted to /jail/plex/root/media make sure /data/media has the correct permissions and ownership)
@quiltface in you’re case looks like metadata is failing, could be a number of thing I suggest you first make sure you’re jail has VNET enabled, and that not firewall is blocking access from the jail to the internet, otherwise please post your logs.
