Server will not scan libraries

Server Version#:1.32.0.6918 Latest as of 14/04/2023
Hi,

I just updated to this version of the Plex Server running on Windows 11 workstation.
I had just done a scan before updating the server and all worked OK.
but after the update the server will not scan any libraries
I have added new content but can’t get the content to show up in the libraries.

I tried going into settings > Manage Libraries > Scan Library Files
I have 6 libraries and the scans lasts for less then a second.

I have restarted the computed, this didn’t help.

Please help fix this or tell me how to downgrade the server.

Regards
Rodney

Might want to look at UNC Path not working following update to 1.32.0.6918 - #6 by sa2000

Yes, I found that after I posted.

I have downgraded back to version: 1.31.3.6868
and every thing is working OK.

Will not be upgrading until I see some post that say it is working.

I am using a NAS and mapping the drive to the drive letter R: so my library is:
R:\Movies
R:\TV

I’m not sure why this would not work no matter if they don’t use UNC paths anymore?

Regards

The cause is not the UNC path, but the antiquated network protocol which is used between Plex server and file storage. If that is the ancient (and unsecure) “SMBv1” protocol, then the bug bites.

Further details are mentioned in the linked thread, also some potential workarounds. Because even after the bug is eventually fixed in Plex (which is progressing nicely behind the scenes), you should avoid using compromised software technology – even if it is only inside your home network.
