So frustrating as I’m away any trying to fix this via VNC. Server Man Mini OS Ventura fully up-to-date. Updated Plex server a few days ago remotely, then noticed this morning it wasn’t running. Server application will not launch now, it runs for maybe a second then exits. I downgraded to previous version - same happens, then downgraded to an older version, again, it wont launch. I see a lot of people are having the same problems, can anyone help. I can’t get the logs as the server app doesn’t run for long enough.
I am experiencing the same issue on my M2 Mac Mini.
I started fresh with a new server install and set up a new library/database and it worked for a day or two and then started doing the same thing that @Roger_Weir described. I see the icon in the Menu Bar for less than a second and then it disappears.
Thanks I’ll scan through it, but I have since found there was a 45 second power cut whilst the server was going through its housekeeping routines so I suspect I might have some DB corruption. Can’t do anymore remotely so it’ll have to wait a month or so.
I think my issue is simpler, ie DB damage but ultimately it’ll like require a reinstall. This is a dilemma as I’ve had to do this 3x in the last year. I’ve setup a mirror on Google Drive and Infuse which is looking more attractive now especially as I’ve had to switch to it now. It’s just my few users that’ll lose out. Ah well.
Me too! I came to my machine one morning and an error message saying that that my Mac had restarted due to a problem. I skimmed through the linked post, but skipped most of it as it was talking about some very windows specific stuff.
I’ve tried a back up database without any luck and did a fresh install of PMS (after removing the database files from the designated folder). It worked for no more than 2 days before crashing in the same manner again.
