SetUp wizard doesn‘t start on Synology

Hello my problem is simple to explain:

I bought a new synology ds918+ and wanted to use it as multimedia server and other things.
I have installed Plex and wanted to start it.
I used the shortcut from DSM (Synology OS) and it opened me a web browser window (local).
In this window i have signed in with my email and the main page has opened.

  • Synologys explaination says that i have to sign in with my DSM Account, but thats not possible -
    Since my first try to connect to the server doesn’t worked, the wizard doesn’t started.
    If i’m using the ios app my phone says no authorization, but it detecs the server.
    My Panasonic TV on other side can’t find any server, maybe because of the own panasonic ios.

On my NAS i found something weird, look at the picture. It shows on control Panel (Systemsteuerung) under Info-Center (same in german) in services (Dienst) at packeges (Pakete) that itunes server is “LAN zugänglich” that means accessible over lan.
The plex media server isn’t given accessibility over lan since i haved installed it. I’ve deinstalled plex and loaded it again from the link of the main page from the local browser window. but same result.

I suppose the Plex package is running on your Synology (status “Läuft”)…
What do you get when you access https://192.1.2.27:32400/web from within your home network?

Automatically redirect works, but now it didn’s accept the certification of synology. how can i change that?

Have you imported the certificate into PMS so it is aware of it?

Also be aware, PMS -> Plex.tv communication MUST have the Plex certificate for it to work. Everything sent from Plex.tv is encrypted.

  1. Settings - Server - Network - Show advanced.
  2. Add the path to the cryption key file.
  3. Resstart PMS

what do you mean with pms (plex media server), the one on my Synology Diskstation?
do you mean with the help of file station on the nas? because on my nas are no settings for plex, i just can start it stop it or delete it.
