I have Plex Pass and I’m unable to set up my HDHomeRun with Live TV & DVR. When I go to Settings → Live TV & DVR → Set Up Plex DVR, the wizard fails to discover my HDHomeRun automatically. When I manually enter the IP address (http://192.168.1.186), the wizard spins forever showing “We couldn’t find any hardware we recognize, but will continue to look for available devices” and never completes.
However, my Plex server logs show the device IS being detected successfully:

Despite successful detection and probe in the backend logs, the UI wizard never completes and no DVR device appears in Settings → Live TV & DVR.
System Info:
- Plex Version: 1.42.2.10156-f737b826c-ls291
- Platform: Docker (linuxserver/plex) on Ubuntu 24.04
- Network Mode: host
- HDHomeRun Firmware: 20250815 (latest)
- HDHomeRun accessible from Plex container: Confirmed via curl
What I’ve tried:
- Manually entered HDHomeRun IP address multiple times
- Tried different formats: http://192.168.1.186, http://192.168.1.186:80, 192.168.1.186
- Restarted Plex container multiple times
- Updated Plex to latest version
- Verified network connectivity with tcpdump (HDHomeRun responds to discovery broadcasts on port 65001)
- Confirmed no firewall blocking communication
- API attempts return “400 Bad Request” when trying to add via POST to /livetv/dvrs endpoint
