Several Devices Lost Library Access After Purchasing Plex Pass

TerraMaster TOS6.0 Server Version#: 1.42.2.10156

I recently purchased Plex Pass Lifetime and following this several of my devices on my local network have lost access to my libraries - but not all devices. Prior to purchasing Plex Pass all my devices were connecting to my server for several months without any problems.

However, now:

One of two Samsung TVs can no longer connect to my server but the other one can.

My Amazon Fire tablet (app installed from Google store) cannot connect to my libraries.

My Android phone cannot connect to my libraries when using the Android app (from Google) and connected to my home Wi-Fi, but CAN connect when using mobile internet. I can connect fine using the Plex Web-App (https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!) on both Wi-Fi and mobile internet.

Using my laptop I can connect just fine using the Windows app and also using the Plex Web-App (https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!).

I have only one Plex account and I have claimed my server.

I have tried rebooting my server, logging out and back in again on the effected TV, tablet and phone and I have also tried uninstalling the app from my phone and tablet and re-installing but none of this has worked.

My feeling is that it has to be account or server related but I am not very techie and I am now out of ideas.

Really grateful for any help and advice0

Plex.tv is reporting:

  1. The server is published (wan port 12xxx)
  2. LAN address 192.168.1.231, and two IPv6 addresses
  3. The Published WAN IP ends with 165.8

Is this all correct ?
Are you using IPv6 or IPv4 for the Remote Access? IPv4 is published

Your Certificate did renew today. Unless apps restart (cold restart) they won’t connect

Your DEBUG server logs, which capture you trying to access the server, will probably help

Hi ChuckPa, thanks for the reply.

Numbers 1, 2 and 3 are all correct.

I am using IPv4 for remote access, and that is working OK. My “kids” are both able to access my server from their own homes and always have been able to, and since I purchased Plex Pass I am able to access remotely using my phone on mobile internet.

It is the local access from several devices on my home network that has gone pear shaped.

I did reboot my NAS earlier today - would that account for the certificate renewing?

Since rebooting my NAS I have logged out of Plex on my phone, uninstalled it, restarted my phone, reinstalled Plex and then logged back in to it (guess that covers a cold restart and more!!) and I am still only able to access my libraries remotely (when using mobile internet) but when I switch to my home Wi-Fi I get the message “No Libraries Available”.

I have downloaded my server logs. All Greek to me, what should I be looking for?

Thanks again for your help.

Your certificate did renew today, about 13:30 GMT

Rebooting will not cause a new certificate to download unless there’s some other problem where PMS is keeps its metadata (your certificate is stored in that same area in a different directory)

Please check your PM. I sent you a message where you can privately attach the logs

Thank you.

It was much later than 13:30 GMT when I rebooted my NAS, it was early(ish) evening.

I have replied to the PM attaching my logs.

and replied
