Just want to throw my vote in as well. Such a feature would be really useful for me.

the use case iād like to see is for the ability to share clips (by adding start timestamps and durations to urls, similar to the way youtube does it).
say if you were having a conversation about a particular scene in a movie/tv show, and wanted to share a clip of that scene, using your own media to build the clip, rather than searching google/youtube and hoping to find a clip (and what you find is usually some shoddy rip).
now thatād be incredibly cool. and useful.

Throwing in my hat here too. Sometimes I want to share videos or clips with friends that I have saved locally but that arenāt available online, and giving someone a timed Plex link to connect them to my server would be far more convenient than sending them a literal video file download. I was disappointed to find that the āShareā feature requires me to provide an email address and the person I want to share with requires account registration.
Iām sorry we have no current plans to add this to roadmap anytime, as Plex is not a file sharing app, and as such am closing this topic so your votes can be returned to vote on something else.
