I’m sorry if this is a dumb question or if it’s documented but I don’t feel like my question was directly answered by the reading materiel (or i missed it). I’m a relatively new plex lover (i’m kicking myself for not jumping on board earlier) and I just want to make sure the foundation work is solid.
I have a plex pass subscription and I setup a home with 3 managed users, myself (i don’t need admin access all the time), my wife, and a family account. The family user auto logs on to shared players like the family room and Kitchen and only has access to kid appropriate content and my wife and I have pins with access to everything. Basic stuff…
After more reading i realized that my wife and I are missing some features because we’re managed users, although not many. So, the question is if i create 2 free full plex accounts for my wife and myself and invite those 2 accounts to the home, will the features of the one and only plex pass subscription I have extend to the 2 free accounts? Will I have to purchase 2 additional subscriptions? Does it not matter as long as the user the plex server is signed in as has a valid plex pass subscription? The example in the docs states that Marge has her own plex account (which is different from what i’m currently doing) but there was no explanation of the type of account or the available functionality.
