Hello,
I’ve buy a plex pass for my server, i add an account for my son and the application requiere the plex pass!
Why?!
So, How add account with the plex pass fonctionnalitys for my familly on internet (not local network)?
regards.
You are probably looking for the Managed Users feature. this allows you to add users under your account and limit their access to certain content.
You will need to login with your account to the client the first time in order to register the client under your plex pass and after that they will be able view content from your account under their own managed user profile.
There is also an option to share libraries/content with friends but those friends need to have their own plex account or paid for app which sounds like where you might be right now.
Hello,
thank you for your reply… so… What?! I paid $ 120 for NOTHING ?!
My son can not use the plexpass features on MY SERVER ?!
Should I buy a plexpass for the 5 MEMBERS of my family?
Reassure me, tell me “you don’t understand” you please.
No, maybe you misunderstood I have 1 Plex Pass myself.
I have a few managed users for my family to access my server from their houses.
After I add their device to my system (with my login or by using the plex.tv/pin depending on client) only needs to be done one time. They can use my system and not need to pay for a Plex Pass or for the App.
Ok, so I (admin) have a plexpass, My son have a free account and he can use (for example) Mobile sync, lyrics, traillers and extras but he can’t sharing or create new users without my authorization, and, I must create an account for his friends.
It is this?

Correct.
You are the administrator.
You own the server
You create accounts and decide who can see sections of your library.
Managed users (those who do not have a free account) have access to Plex Pass features through your Plex Pass
Free account users you share with have access to the Plex Pass features of your server for the libraries you permit.
Why do people insist on dropping money before full understanding what Plex is? It’s free to try out and there’s plenty of documentation… Continues to baffle me.
Your child’s friends should NOT (!!!) be setup as managed users. Managed users are for immediate family INSIDE your home.
You will need to get his or her friends to create their OWN plex accounts at plex.tv. Then you invite them access to the server.
With your child, you can create a managed user which you can switch to / set age ratings.
Than you everybody.

Because I want to help financially a “community” for software development for 120$ but 600$ while I have the technical ability to do it for free, no thanks.
and…
I’m not anglophone.
Iv’paid a subsonic’s license for my server, the server is premium, 1 license per server not per user, so putting a plexpass per user is not really clear.

if “making a donation” or not cracking software is disconcerting for you, I do not know what to answer you.
