hopefully someone can help me out with Nvidia Shield everything was ok for awhile but now plex on my shield saying cannot Direct Play was attempted but failed,fallen back to transcoding
dunno what happened ? but it was working before

There is not generic issue we are aware of. Please play back 1 file you know causes this, then grab the PMS and Plex Android logs and post them here.
FWIW… the only time I had this issue on the Shield, the culprit was the subtitles. For some odd reason, the Shield keep trying to transcode the subtitles if they were not from opensubtitles.org.
Once I switched the subtitles to off or choose one from opensubtitles… Direct Play resumed.
