Within the last week or so, the Plex client on the Shield started crashing every time I click the “More” option to access servers that are being shared with me. This happens 100% of the time. I’ve restarted the Shield several times, re-started my Plex server, etc. I’ve also confirmed that there are no issues with accessing these remote servers when I do it on any other device/platform. I’m kind of stumped as to how to troubleshoot this any further. Thoughts as to what might be going on? Thx.

Sounds to me like we’ve ‘discovered’ an issue with the latest release. Curious to see if it gets noted and fixed in a subsequent update.

Is there a setting for the Plex client that will limit updates to stable versions, rather than betas? I’ve looked all around the main Settings page but haven’t found it yet.
Similarly, if I want to go back to a stable version (assuming the issue is with the client, rather than the server, which may or may not be the case), is side-loading my only option? I know I’ve done this in the past, but only remember that it was something of a p.i.t.a.

Same here. I’ve tried everything I can think of. I’ve rolled it back (uninstall updates, note ‘more’ doesn’t exist in the default version, but you can access both servers still) and reininstalled, I’ve cleared cache, cleared data, changed customization to the other server as primary, etc… (on top of the normal reboots, etc.) and performed all the above in different combos as well ;). And just to confirm, yes it is the beta, and I too am curious how to get off the ‘beta’ version for my shield devices (I have 4, and they all have the issue). I like running beta usually, but would like the option to go back to stable when issues like this arise.
Nevermind on the beta comment, just opt out of beta on your phone, then uninstall updates and reinstall on the shield (Nvidia Shield Plex.tv beta - #2 by kazz3r24)
Opt out of beta on your phone, to get to stable. to apply it quickly to shield, I unistalled updates to plex on the shield after opting out on phone, then reinstalled updates (notice it doesn’t say beta this time, if it does, maybe wait a bit…?.., mine was instant). It fixed the ‘more’ issue so that works for now 
Did you people realize a beta was released today that has a bug fix for this exact problem?
