Shield Pro 2017 TrueHD audio dropouts

I’m having trouble with audio dropouts in BR remuxes with TrueHD audio. My setup is a 2017 Shield Pro as a Plex client, Ubuntu 20.04 with PMS via docker. The Shield has an HDMI 2.1 cable attached to a Vizio P85QX-H1, and then eARC (HDMI 2.1) to a Vizio M512A-H6 soundbar (firmware v2.0.0.4). The Plex client is set up with audio passthrough via HDMI.

It sounds similar to this thread (96khz/192khz Audio Dropouts) but the files I’m having issues with are not 96/192khz.

I just got the soundbar so I haven’t tested too much, but both of these have the same issue. Audio will be playing fine, and then drop out for a second before coming back. It appears to happen at random. Sometimes several times in a row, or once after 20 minutes of playing fine. The logs don’t yield any hints or issues.

I don’t experience these issues while playing the same files in Emby.

Would it be possible for you to enable logging in the player app
then recreate the dropout .

After recreating, stop playback and download the player logs from the shield.

Attach those logs here please.

Also please advise which version of Shield Experience is installed

I switched up the order to Shield > soundbar > TV instead of routing through the TV with eARC and was able to play about 45 min without interruption. No idea why I was only experiencing the issue with Plex, but I’ll comment again if I experience issues with this new configuration.
