My Nvidia shield TV (2015 - 16gb) keeps complaining that i’m running out of space. Until recently i’ve not had this issue and or years it sat in the cupboard working away diligently.
I’ve removed and disabled as much as i can as i only use it for plex server duties but i’m still told there isn’t enough space to do updates etc. Problem is i can’t see what is using up all the space, the app panel in the settings area doesnt show any of the install apps taking up much space.
I added an 128gb SD card in the reader and started the process within the plex app to move the server/db to the sd card however after pressing the ‘lets go’ button i get the screen saying ‘plese be patient as this could take several minutes…’ with the spinner spinning and it never leaves this screen. I left it for 10 hours so far and its not progressed.
According to the plex article on this function, after pressing ‘lets go’ i should be asked which storage i want to use … i would have chosen the SD card.
Any ideas what i’m getting stuck on this screen and not being asked which storage i want to use.
For context all my plex media is stored on a NAS which is connected via ethernet to my router and mounted within the Shield, my Shield TV is also connected to my router via ethernet.
