Shield will playback ASS subs when set to image based only but won't playback PGS....Vice versa when set to image based only

Running the newest Server beta and the newest shield beta.

So if you set the Shield Plex app to automatic subtitles, it will playback PGS and SRT, but not ASS. If I set it to image based only, it will playback ASS and SRT but not PGS. Is there a way to get all three working?
