So I grab a show daily called Around the Horn and it used to match fine but now it matches another show with the same name and year at 100% and the right match is 96%. This is the correct show and it’s the only entry on TVDB. http://thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=276523
I’m wondering why the other one is showing up and matching above the correct one.
What is the other show’s TVDB number/link? Are they named similarly? Is there something you can use to better define the right one in the name? Perhaps including ESPN as part of the name might make it match better?
Just some quick thoughts…
It’s the exact same name AFIAK. How can I tell what the TVDB # is? Is the in the logs?
I suppose you could select the wrong one, and see what it comes up with for a poster, then look for similar posters in TVDB? Then you rematch after you find it out. for that matter, you may have the show listed twice… Happens sometimes… TVDB gets info from users, doesn’t it? Someone made the first, then someone else made the second, but they are really for the same show…
If you use the Firefox plug in called Transmogrify (not being maintained anymore, but some of the features still work.) you can also get the IMDB number for a show. This can also help you figure out which is which. Search in the 3rd party apps forum for Transmogrify and you should find it. Or in Firefox’s addon’s (extensions) page. It should show up there, even though it’s well over a year since it’s last been updated.
So the one that shows as 100% and gets automatched has no poster or description.
