ONE show will not update with TVDB

Hi there,

I have one single show that refuses to match with the database. It follows the same naming convention as all my other TV shows, and I have added multiple shows since that match no problem. This particular show doesn’t grab any metadata at all. It is on the TVDB.

Naming convention of:

TV Shows>SHOW NAME (YEAR)>SEASON XX>SHOW NAME - EPISODE TITLE - SXXEYY

Naming should be:

TV Shows
  Show Name (year)
    Season XX
      Show Name (year) - sXXeYY - Optional Episode Title.ext

Where (year) isn’t mandatory but can help if there’s a reboot or other kind of same-named show.

Thats what I have. I have the optional year Included as the show has a documentary of the same name from the 80s.

would you mind the specific naming? I take it you already verified you’re using the same name as it is listed in TheTVDb.com?

No problem, my bad! Correct - I have verified it in TVDB. Here is the naming:

so Plex basically found the files but isn’t matching them / downloading metadata and artwork?
Can you manually do the match (Fix Match)?

there is no year populated for this show in tvdb, which screws up the auto matching of For All Mankind (2019)

you can either fix match (remove the 2019), or rename and remove the (2019)

I can’t see what field is missing, perhaps you have to be logged into to tvdb (I don’t have an account), but for example when comparing these 2 shows;

search no year

search with year

I can’t see any difference in visible data.

Thank you all so much for your help. I renamed each file, rnekcinv the (2019) and adding periods at separators as per the last reply and it has finally picked it up.
