Show name "Hello Stranger" is "ignored"

I added the shows MP4 files like any other to my library folder but after “Scan Files”, nothing happens. It seemingly ignores/skips the subfolder/files. In other cases I’ve seen files come up unmatched but in this case it is like it didn’t see it at all. I tried a few things suggested online but nothing seemed to help and since it was a few months ago now, I can’t speak to the actual diagnostic steps.

Being a developer myself I’m wondering if there is a “Hello World”-type exclusion somewhere.

If there is something non-trivial to this if anyone knows of a workaround that would be awesome!

I guess if anyone has a similar issue, jump on board too…

I stumbled upon the solution myself.

The files were named like “Hello Stranger E8.mp4”; for 8 episodes so, E1 though E8. I renamed them like the following “Hello Stranger - E08.mp4” and that seems to have done it. Not sure if it was the addition of the dash, the 0 after the E, or both, but whatever I’m ecstatic! It drives me nuts when simple things fail without any feedback…
