I have a similar question to this post: Home Video Thumbnails - (I did search first, but there was no answer on this thread).
I have created a library as “Other Videos” for music concert DVDs that I’ve ripped, and some other (legally - with the consent of the band) personally filmed gigs. I tried using a “Movies” format library - but I was finding that the personally filmed titles (that aren’t in Plex’s DB) weren’t recognized, and were hidden in all my players. So I went back to an “Other Videos” library, which shows all my files, BUT, the video thumbnails are all portrait, and, as many of the titles I have in this library have cover art (and for the home filmed ones, I do have .jpgs of the gig posters, that I wanted to add as “virtual cover art” - all in portrait format) - I’m seeing that whilst I can add the cover art, it looks a bit rubbish as you only see the middle of the image. I’m seeing this on multiple players (Roku, Samsung, Windows, MacOS, iOS)
Is there any way to show the poster image for an “Other Videos” library in portrait, rather than landscape format?
Thanks!
