seems to be out of date. Or opening up the FW to those IPs is not sufficient enough for remote access check anymore.

Orko - what are you trying to accomplish?
There’s a lot of superstition about those IPs and VPNs and Firewalls.
It generally doesn’t make sense to only allow those IPs through a firewall. They probe connectivity just like any actual viewing client would, and real clients need to connect too.
It almost never makes sense to bypass VPN for just those IPs, for the same reason - real clients need to make connections too.
So I’m curious, if you want to share what you’re doing?
