Maybe this has been addressed before but I am so tired of having to match up ‘unmatched’ titles in Plex. Over the years I have changed servers several time and upon putting my library back into Plex, Plex misses the same files over and over again. It gets most right by it can take hours of clicks to get everything back, nice and neat.
My simple suggestion;
1-make a backup utility inside of Plex that very simply exports a two column CSV file with the ‘FILE NAME’ (as I have it) and the movie/TV identifier that Plex keeps for each.
2-make a Restore utility that reads the CSV file and matches up all the existing (file name) content and places the corresponding movie/TV id into the Plex record, so when Plex does it library update it knows exactly what movie/TV series that it should be.
So simple? So why is there nothing like this available after so many years?
And get rid of the function that keeps a screen shot of a movie instead of replacing it with the actual box cover image.
