Simple question - Do I need Apple hardware to play iTunes movies with Plex?

I’m considering purchasing some movies from iTunes, but I don’t have any Apple hardware. I use Rokus, PCs, and other devices to play my movies. Can I use Plex to play iTunes movies on my TV without Apple hardware? I’ve used Plex in the past, but not for anything protected like iTunes movies. Thanks

I have searched the forums, but quite frankly, from what I’ve seen I am really not certain that it’s possible, though I lean towards it is not.

AFAIK movies bought from the iTunes store are riddled with DRM. Which prevents you from playing them on anything other than devices which have an official iTunes client and are signed into your Apple ID.

Plex does not support DRM-infested media files.

Thanks. I was hoping that maybe Plex transcoded itunes, or allowed for iTunes to somehow play the movie through Plex.
