I tried to add trailers.apple.com in my routers local dns dbase (Cisco RV320) and it pings now on our LAN to the plexconnect server but that isnt enough to make plexconnect work, or is it?
Is there anything else that you should/can do to make it work like that?

Update:
As discussed, when you have your own router at home or at work, just simply add these 2 forwarders in the DNS:
Did you follow the standard setup? This does not call for you to setup a DNS forward. All you do is update the DNS setting on your ATV to your plexconnect machine, plex connect then does the forwarding and interception where needed.
I get that but i wanted to not have to change the DNS to manual on the ATV but instead set trailers.apple.com to our plexconnect server in our DNS on the router ;)
As far as my tech skills go: Plex connect settings.cfg enable_dnsserver = False <<<< that shouldnt matter what its set to, even if you want to use the built in dns aswell just for backup that could best be set to True.
and yes PlexConnect is running fine. Ill try again when i get home.
