Since a few days, buffering keeps ruining playback.

Hello!
Since a few days (can’t say exactly, less than 2 weeks), I keep having buffering issues when playback. It seems to happen random when watching (sometimes I don’t have it for minutes, sometimes I have a few seconds of playing and then pauses again) and doesn’t always last the same (from some kind of a “flash” to several seconds).
I think this is server related, since it happens on both my WebOs and PS4 apps.
Some infos.
I run the server 1.2.7.2987 on my Windows 10 64bit with Intel i7 5600k @ 3.70 Ghz.
This happens both with x264 and x265 MKV files, 1080p with internal or external subtitles and quality settings on “Original”.
The HD where I put my transcoding folder has 518GB free.
I disabled the creation of preview minatures.
This never happened before. I did not change anything in my hardware and of course when I’m watching something my PC is not running any program.
I’m not sure if this started happening following a Plex update.

Rolling back to 1.2.6.2975 fixed this annoying issue for me. Three nights running of buffering rubbish, rebooting servers, TV’s, routers and messing with Network settings. The rollback instantly resolved it.

The database seems to be fine with the rollback. Uninstall Plex from Add or Remove programs and reinstall an earlier version from %LOCALAPPDATA%\Plex Media Server\Updates.

This is a commonly reported issue with 1.2.7.2987. An update last year did exactly the same thing.

Too easy. You could try the latest one you have and see how you go. (1.1.3.32700)

I have no idea if the database will be affected by rolling back so far. I can’t find a download repository for older versions. All the previous links are broken. Good luck.

Unfortunately, I still have the same problem (though it doesn’t happen as often as before).
