I have several managed users and shared accounts. Recently, I realized that one of my managed users (my parents) can see my plex server but when they try to watch something the progress wheel just spins and then times out. They are able to access my sister’s plex server (who also does not live with them) with out a problem. For her, they are just a shared user.
I have tested all the other managed users on my account from my iPad (both inside the network, and remotely) and their account is the only one that doesn’t work.
Considering that it also does not work on my iPad, I have ruled out that it is a problem at their house. And Considering that all the other account on my server work, this leads me to believe that it it a problem with just their account.
Considering that ever since I added them on as a managed user, they have been having anomalies, I am willing to split them back off if that is the easiest resolution, although if I can keep them on managed I would prefer that as my parents like to use the live tv off my plex box. But plex content is more important than live tv (as they do have another option).
What could be causing this issue? What is the easiest way to resolve it?
