Either the episode numbers or the names are off. Looking at an episode guide the shift is about 3 episodes.

I just checked the EPG for your zip code and lineup and channel 6.2 :WOWT Cozi TV Affiliate: COZI) and i cannot see any sequencing errors

Could you tell me which airings are wrong
Does any disagree with TV Listings ?

I’m not sure if this is a DVR issue or EPG. I noticed Plex had “Run Steve Run” listed with two videos. Upon further research I see the DVR saved the files with incorrect episode numbers. I’m looking at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_The_Six_Million_Dollar_Man_episodes (which may be incorrect, although https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071054/episodes?year=1974 agrees.)

These are the files saved. The .mkv are ones I transcoded to save space but the filenames only changed .ts to .mkv.

S02E01 looks correct.

Not sure what’s going on here. I can rename to fix the matching and report if any further errors occur. From now on I’ll dig deeper to determine if the EPG is correct and not assume the DVR did the right thing.

The change that we introduced earlier this year EPG metadata is now retained for DVR recordings was to stop any EPG metdata / sequencing errors leading to repeated recordings or lost recordings. So we would maintain in the library the same sequencing that is in the EPG. This would only work provided the library does not have any episodes of the show previously matched to thetvdb.

If there is an error in the EPG metadata and sequenced then it can be reported and we would flag it to our provider.

I’ve created a new library for DVR and moved these files in. I suppose transcoding them to MKV would lose the meta data since that is set at record time.
