Skip intro work for my account (plex pass) on my appletv 4k, but on my sons appletv 4 (not 4K) it wont, signed in with my account and he is used his home-user account from the select user screen.
Any ideas?
At least right now this feature requires the active user to have a Plex Pass. Managed users do not inherit this feature from the main account.
Tip! : The ability to skip through television show “intros” requires a Plex Passsubscription for Server admin account and the Plex account used in the player app.

There’s a feature suggestion to change this behavior (at least for managed users)
According to the document:
This is feature requires a Plex Pass subscription for the server admin and the account used in the player app (includes Managed users).
So managed users do get to inherit the ability to use this, but a Plex.tv user that is invited to Plex Home will not have this ability. I’m guessing your son has an actual Plex account with no Plex Pass and thus is unable to use it (as is my wife).
Thanks for the clearity. Hope they changes this. I wont pay for 3 plex passes
