Skip Intro is randomly pausing playback between shows!?

Been using Plex Media Server for months now without issues (Sept 2019) build, anyways, recently decided to upgrade server to take advantage of the “Skip Intro” feature but I am experiencing an issue when “Shuffling” a TV show or “Play All”;

A Show will play to the end of an episode, then pause on last frame but will display the “Skip Intro button” and freeze in that state!? If I decide to wait, after 10 minutes or so, the next episode will start to play.

I can however instead click the “Skip Intro” button and it will then jump onto the next show. But ideally, I want to be able to hit that Shuffle All or Play all and not have to pick up the remote again until I’m ready to turn off the program but with this latest update, I have to keep picking up the remote to Skip Into to continue playback.

Any one have ideas how to resolve this issue? Anyone else experiencing this? Anyone know the most recent version of Plex Media Server where it was stable in this regards?

I’m getting exactly what you describe, though I never use shuffle. Been using Plex for years. Started a few weeks ago. I religiously install updates when available. Not sure what Skip Intro is. QNAP NAS and Fire TV Cube here.
Daughter’s show will end and freeze at last frame. Alot of time it’s just on for background noise. Then after about 10 minutes or so, a new episode will start playing. We blame ghosts.

I did find a fix, unfortunately, “Skip Intro” will no longer be available.

Just head to setting on the client app and somewhere, there is an option to select “new” or “old” media player; select old and things will start working again.

Try clearing codecs folder.
