for 1-2 weeks i have the problem that the loading time for information below on what you see on the picture is very slow. it takes up to 10 seconds. it’s only in my movies library, shows are fine
i tryed to clean up the datebase but it doesen’t help
How many movies are in this library?
Do you still store all movie files inside the same folder, without creating a subfolder for each movie?
there are 4.440 movies in it. every movie has its own folder
Another thing to try is to
Edit your library,
go to the “Advanced” tab
and DISable “Include related external content”
i did disable it and it helped for ~70% of my movies. the “similar movies” and “more with …” is instantly there like it was in the past.
i have a tidal subscription and want to keep the “Include related external content” option on…
anything else i can do?
Are you using any IP-based filters or block lists in your firewall/router/security appliance?
no i have none of that. the only thing i did is to give plex manually the permission in the windows firewall.
the machine is a i7-6700k, 1050ti, windows 10 enterprise with plex on a m.2 ssd.
the windows installation is from 2021 and the server only runs plex, hqplayer and roon.
i hope it isn’t another corrupt database…
in some cases it takes over 20 seconds to load the similar movies and stuff
for every movie (and shows) i have costum posters (poster.jpg files)
and i changed a lot of them recently. the old poster.jpg which doesn’t exist anymore is also still there

the problem is auto movie collections. i deleted all collections and without them it loads instantly.
i changed the minimum size from 2 (hundreds of collections) to 3 to have less collections but it didnt help

Do you store all movies together in a common folder
or has every movie a dedicated subfolder in your media file storage?
the database size is 2gb
all movies have a seperate folder where the video file is in. like this for example
R:\HD\8 Mile\8 Mile.MKV
R:\4k\A Quiet Place\A Quiet Place.MKV
its direcly related. a movie which is within a automatic created collection needs about 15 seconds to load, others are instant
