Has anone else noticed that Plex is taking ages to refresh the guide data? It’s taking hours to do it on the latest few versions of Plex server (Windows). The guides should load really quickly when they are downloading but over the last few versions it just takes forever. I seem to be finding that my dashboard is showing the refresh guide routine is still running well into the middle of the day whereas it only used to take a short while. I’m only grabbing from two Plex provided guides and only have about 250 channels. IS there a way to improve the speed? Do I need to delete my DVR and recreate it?
I just performed a refresh of 59 channels, which took ~7 minutes to complete. This is consistent with what I’ve seen in the past.

Yes this is what I would expect. Maybe 20 mins tops for 250 channels. Several hours is just excessive and means any changes to the DVR channels results in having to wait for several hours before any further changes can be made.
I don’t know if there’s a way to clear and reset the DVR settings so that I can basically start the DVR setup from scratch?
Use the Delete DVR option, scheduled recordings will be retained.
I would look at the server logs, it sounds like a DNS issue in retrieving the metadata.
