Smart Playlist by File Path

I’d like to see the option to create a smart playlist by file path.

This could be a contains match or an exact match or even a regex match.

I’ve got separate folders for different kinds of movies that can’t be sorted by typical genres or other metadata like Time Travel, Christmas, Live Action Remakes, etc.

While I can technically accomplish this by importing each folder separately, that fills up Home with dozens of “Recently Added” lists and fills the sidebar with a bunch of libraries.

For reference, this is my directory structure

movies/time-travel
movies/christmas
movies/live-action-remakes
movies/magical-heists

It took me some time to find it… there’s an existing suggestion addressing this feature.
Therefore I’d like to ask you to comment/vote in this existing thread while I’ll close this one to avoid further duplicates.

Feature Request: File Path filter // Automatic dynamic Full Pathname tags & associated Filter

We have other requests that are similar to this but not the same. What I would like is to have a class of user tags for all media files that would be dynamically and automatically created based on the full pathname of the media object and to add a filter option for selecting these dynamic tags in all the players. So every path name Text for a media object and it is the full path including folder and all nested sub folder names and file names, plex media server would break up into discrete wor…
