Just checking to see if there is still no option to create a smart playlist and arrange it by date added?
The tracks in a smart playlist will be sorted as they were at the time the playlist was created or saved.
If you’ve already created the playlist, you can select “Edit Filters” from the playlist’s action menu. In the filter editor, make sure the “Date Added” column is displayed, then click on the column heading to sort. When the list is sorted the way you want, click “Save.”
Ah I see.
What I’m actually wanting to do is have a smart playlist for all MP3 files in a specific folder to be listed in order of date added. That way, if I keep throwing new MP3 files in that folder, the playlist will keep getting updated with the newest songs at the top.
It probably does this and I can’t figure it out.
Thanks in advance!
There’s no way to filter on the file location. How about making a new library pointing to that folder, then making the smart playlist in that library?
Now that’s smart! Thanks for this tip. I’ll give it a go and let you know if I have any troubles
