I can’t see how to create Playlists anywhere in my server or my player. What to do?
You can’t say “rtfm” when there is no “m” to be found. I have had Plexpass for years and still bemoan the very poor design of the music player component in Plex (as well as the photos gallery). And the Plexpass hype says it includes “better playlists” than the free version! Really?
I came to this thread because I scratched my head and clicked on every icon I saw in my music collection and when I searched the knowledge base, not ONE article had “playlist” in the title and the word doesn’t even appear at all in the article contents listing. I too am puzzled figuring out how to simply add a song or a folder to a playlist. And I even have two of them created from some point in time! Can’t remember how I did it and now can’t find any help on that either,
I’ve done google searches on how to create playlists and add songs and folders to them, but the resulting answers were inevitably created for older versions of Plex and were worthless. I’d love to “rtfm” if only I could find one.
which plex player are you using. in the web player app there are multiple ways to make a play list
when hovering over a post or thumbnail click on the ellipses and choose add to playlist

when on most library pages. the `add to playlist" option will also be on the upper right to add everything on that page you might be viewing or filtered by
The “M” is here: https://support.plex.tv/articles/
Here is a How-to post, explaining both types of playlists: [HowTo] Create Playlists (Updated for new UI)
Except that ‘updated UI’ is not the current UI. Its from 2016.
I have figured out how to add items to a playlist from the posts above but still fail to find how to access the playlist for playback or editing. There is no playlist item in the left column under the current UI. At least not in the windows client.
You need to ‘pin’ it onto there.
