Server Version#: 1.40.2.8395-c67dce28e
Player Version#: Any I tried
I’m using PMS on Linux since multiple years now without much issues, and few weeks ago I completely lost access from the admin account. I finally reinstall but after few hours/days I lose access again.
Sometimes rebooting allow me to access for few hours.
Account under my Plex Home can read the media, only the admin is out of the server.
I saw some people with the same issue but no solutions worked (And often it was on Synology so not applicable).
I tried to reinstall on a fresh system without success also.
I’m now out of ideas, so I come here to ask if you can help me, it would be much appreciated.
Can you make a tar.gz of the Logs directory under Plex Media Server and attach it here?
With that log, I should be able to see what isn’t being allowed.
(It might be DNS (error 6) or too aggressive (error 429) or a permission error (error 13)
Thank you for your quick answer and sorry for the delay I was away and I lost access to the server. I saw quickly some DNS error (6) and changed the resolver (before loosing access) but saw no improvement yet. I will give you the log file as soon I retrieve access to it.
Ok so first thanks ChuckPa, I was sure I’ve check the logs, but don’t remember these messages.
I had DNS errors, and looks like it’s related to PiHole with DNSSEC enabled (some other topics talk about it). I’ve temporarly changed DNS server. And it fix the issue, so I will investigate the PiHole.
